Correction on managers name whom i was referring to is correct Spelling Alicia Peyton

Original review posted by user Dec 29, 2015

First and foremost, I'd like to say The Customer is what makes the Company work. Whether with your products, prices or rain checks or low prices you advertise. But this is not a regular complaint about that! I'm a very loyal customer and have been for years there up until December 23rd 2015 at the Albertson's Store on Highway 59 & Highway 67 -4415 West 7TH Texarkana, Texas. That day as I was checking out, I witnessed a so called customer manager named Alisha Peyton talking to one of the checkout express lane cashier's like she was a dog, down right rude in front of the whole store! I as a manager myself at another company will not mention, know the integrity of speaking to your staff saying smart and unethical remarks about them and their not getting breaks or don't deserve any, also giving them the breaks they are required by law in a manner that is in the policy and especially not embarrassing them in front of the whole entire store and their customers. You as a manager should be well organised, have excellent communications skills with all your staff and be able to make decisions that does not involve everyone else around you. For you also should have good motivational skills, enjoy leading your team or staff and that means everyone of them and always put the customer first. I also want to say that the young lady that day was quit the most friendly and pleasant person and cashier that I've seen in this store #0135 and probably have ever have. If I were and most likely to do is contact this stores corporate office and let them be aware of this managers actions upon this cashiers to withhold herself in such a gracious manner and do as she was told. I know one thing if I was her the cashier or even this customer services manager (hiring manager) I would no longer stand for this in my store that I've a responsibility of running. That so called Customer Service manager Ms. Peyton would be defiantly and permanently would be fired and or demoted for insubordination towards another employee or staff member. Especially if this is the way you want your store ran than it sure will not last long and neither will your employees and corporation will shut it down quickly for this sort of negligence of management. So take this as you will but believe me when I say I will make sure that the law stands and this store will get a bad grading for this along with complaints and even less customers will you will be left with because of this foolishness of your so called management!!!!

Your Ex Customer UNHAPPY WILL NEVER RETURN AGAIN

Tell your boss your frustrations in a sensitive, but upfront manner. But make sure to focus on what the two of you can do going forwards rather than on what he has been doing wrong in the recent past. Focus on positive actions that you would like your boss to start taking rather than criticising her

for what she has or has not been doing so far.

You're a person and not to be talked down to.

The scenario of lazy managers such as Alicia Peyton then this is all too common in this workplace. Managers who abuse their position often take longer lunch breaks, chat with friends, or surf the web, while piling their workload onto you.

This can leave you stressed, overwhelmed and highly agitated. If this is happening to you, there are strategies for dealing with a lazy manager.

Sadly, youโ€™ve stumbled into what has to be one of the most frustrating situations of modern work life: working for someone you donโ€™t respect. We want to work for people who are good managers and leaders: we like having bosses who are the leaders we want to become.

On a more mundane level, we like working for people who do their work, so we donโ€™t have to do it!

Itโ€™s also a very difficult situation to address: your boss has every right to delegate work to you, and itโ€™s a judgment call as to whether or not itโ€™s โ€œtoo much.โ€ I fear youโ€™d be stepping into a major ratโ€™s nest to try to confront her (or others) about it. If she was doing something more clearly inappropriate, Iโ€™d suggest that you lean on HR more, or even go directly to her โ€” but this is pretty amorphous, and it would, I predict, come down to โ€œhe said, she said,โ€ which certainly wouldnโ€™t benefit you. In other words โ€“ sorry about this โ€” it seems unlikely to me that your boss is going to change her behavior. It sounds as though sheโ€™s been behaving like this for a long time with no consequences, so why should she do anything differently?

OK, what choices do you have?

At the end of the day, you can stay or leave (I find myself saying this to people a lot โ€“ in situations like this, itโ€™s easy to hang around for years, waiting and hoping the other person might change.) If you decide to leave, do your level best to find an organization where doing the job is required and rewarded, and where your boss has a reputation for commitment and accomplishment. Youโ€™ll be much happier.

If you want to stay, Iโ€™d suggest you look around and assess whether your bossโ€™ behavior is the norm, or whether sheโ€™s an aberration. If sheโ€™s the norm, go back to the previous paragraphโ€ฆ.put your resume together and get out of there!

However, if most people seem to be getting rewarded for hard work and good results โ€” then be that kind of person to the nth degree. Be unusually competent, collaborative and self-starting.

AND let people know that youโ€™re interested in moving up in the company, if you are (that would, for instance, be a much more productive conversation to have with the person on the VP level than the complaining-about-your-boss conversation). Shine by contrast with your boss: do the work she dumps on you quickly, and with quality. Then, when someone else in the company wants to poach you, jump at the chance. Youโ€™ve noticed, Iโ€™m sure, that all my suggestions are about what you can do differently.

I get that it doesnโ€™t seem fair for you to solve the problem when sheโ€™s the one doing her nails and buying dog beds (or whatever) online. However, Iโ€™m just trying to be your reality check here: I canโ€™t see a compelling reason for her to put down the nail polish.

So: be the kind of employee youโ€™d like her to be, and see what happens. She will gets what's coming to her and also that company.

I've lived here in the area my whole life and been to this store a million times. They go through staff so much especially now with the new management Alicia Peyton is a real smug B to everyone that is to all customers and the employees.

I'm surprised that the corporate office hasn't got rid of her and this store yet. Won't be shopping here there are better employees that should be a better fit for her position as a manager.

She needs to go. She's mean and never smiles always looks like she's just disgusted with her job.

Every time I've seen her she's outside and never helping her employees. She's lazy and just not someone I would ever work with.

I worked there for 1 day back in Septmber and that's all it took for me to know how that lady supposed called manager was. I hope she gets replaced and they hire better managers that deserves it. Not

Someone who is mean to others and never shows emotions to anyone and the hate she has towards her own job and workers

Guest

Your store sux that is why I don't go there and it's nasty I agree with all these individual customers

egocentric:

behaving as if you are more important than other people, and need not care about them

patronizing:

showing disapproval behaving or speaking in a way that shows you think you are more intelligent or important than someone

big-headed:

behaving in a way that shows that you think you are very important or intelligent loud: used for describing a person who talks in a loud and confident way that annoys other people This decribes this woman to the down right truth

Guest

Used to go to this store now it's gone down hill since Walmart is across the street. Maybe higher prices but better management at least to their employees and staff. Rock on

Just another one of those people who think they are above the law as an officer in a *** grocery store and thinks they have the right to do as they please. It just proves its gone to her head above like all the rest. I won't shop there again!

Guest

Someone turn that Peyton manager in. I know who she is I used to work there.

She's a two faced person and doesn't follow any rules but her own. She doesn't comply with the company policies.

Guest

Wow.... That lady thinks she's superior above everyone I guess in that store.

I've seen her before never smiles and is rude too. I'm sure glad I don't work there

Guest

Of course not everyone can be the perfect know it all manager because you have claimed the title!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
